In 2017, we founded SkyBlue FR with a clear mission - to address the critical need for safer work environments in the unregulated cannabis extraction market. With 1700 work-related flash fires and explosions occurring that year, 150 of which included clothing ignition, the need for protective clothing had never been more evident. Over the next two years, we tested countless samples in our relentless pursuit of superior safety, with a singular focus on making our garments the most reliable and comfortable in the industry.By 2019, we had achieved our goal, creating lab clothes that were specific for hydrocarbon extraction and designed to provide maximum protection (NFPA2112 and NFPA70E) without sacrificing comfort or style. The introduction of our Lab Pants in 2020 was a resounding success, leading to the launch of our Gas Mask Hoodies in 2021. Looking ahead to 2023, we are raising the bar yet again, planning to make all our garments water/oil resistant and anti-static, ensuring they are the safest and most effective choice for both chemical and solventless extractions.As the cannabis industry continues to grow, so too does the need for better safety standards and protective equipment.
